Biopharmaceutical Temperature Measurement Products

Weed Instrument manufactures a full range of RTDs, thermocouples and thermowells that have been designed to meet the environmental, performance and surface finish requirements of the pharmaceutical and biotech markets. The sensors typically feature enhanced performance specifications and 316L stainless steel materials. They can also be electropolished to a Ra of 0.2 microns (8 microinches). Permanently etched tagging information and calibration certificates are also available.

Thermowells can be specified as weld-in or clamp style, with all 316L stainless materials and electropolished finishes. Weld-in thermowells can be supplied with material certifications and permanently marked "heat numbers".

Autoclave RTDs

Designed specifically for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical industries, Weed Instrument Autoclave RTDs eliminate all of the problems associated with standard probes where the pressure and vacuum cycling of autoclaves forces moisture inside the probe, resulting in incorrect, low temperature readings and reduced life.

Our Autoclave RTDs are completely sealed. As a result, the entire sensor assembly of the Weed Instrument Autoclave RTD, including the probe and cables extending from the RTD, can be completely submerged in water without affecting accuracy or long-term stability.

Food & Beverage Temperature Measurement Products

Weed's general purpose sanitary RTD and thermocouple temperature sensors have been designed for food, beverage and dairy applications where sensor corrosion and product contamination are critical factors. Most of the sensors meet or exceed the finish specifications set forth by the applicable 3A Sanitary Council standards.
